Virtual Tour of Lithuanian Villages
In the summer of 2012 (give or take a few months or years) a photographer in Lithuania set out to provide a virtual three to fifteen minute tour of many Lithuanian villages. By placing a camera on the dashboard of his car, he provides music as you whiz past the homes, churches, and farms of the Lithuanian countryside. You can search alphabetically or by district municipality. A drop down window lists all the locations filmed in that municipal district. A descriptive paragraph with the source listed provides additional information which can be copied and pasted into Google Translate.

I re-visited many of the villages we had been to on our Family History Tour. I identified the following from his website.

About suwalkigermans

I started family research in 1993. My first two books focused on my maternal grandparents. Both families came from Kreis Rosenberg, West Prussia, to Big Rapids, Michigan. I left the Spurgats from Wylkowiszki in the Russian Empire as the third book because of the difficult and challenging research it required. After I published the book in 2010, I wondered what to do next. I thought I might try to share some of my research with others and maybe at the same time, by going digital, someone would find me. When you read the comments, you will see that happened. The best part of all this is helping others.
